Can you feel those butterflies fluttering around in your tummy?
Funny even as a Mom, I still get that first day of school feeling.
So this is Jade's first day in Grade 4 and happy to report she got the teacher she was hoping for - Monsieur Tougas.
Bonne Chance ma belle Jade, tu es notre coeur d'amour...

It's apple picking time around here. So of course I thought of the Give Thanks stamp set with the Picnic Paper. So with a basket of apples, comes of course my favorite dessert: APPLE CRISP!
I don't think there is a stamp set for Apple Crisp is there?

This wonderful show of support is what was waiting for all the walkers who participated in the two day 60 km walk to End Breast Cancer. To walk by all those people cheering you on and shouting "Bravo" and "Well Done" was almost too much to bear. It was extremely emotional.
Adriana, you were very close to my heart as I walked those miles...
I was just so happy that I had Gord's shoulder to lean on and Jade's hand to hold. It meant everything to me to have them there with me.
BLISTERS! A small price to pay to beat breast cancer!
Just a few more steps...
It was an amazing experience that words cannot describe...
Happy to have been part of the 2,250 walkers who raised over
$6 million dollars! "Bravo, Well Done" to all the walkers & volunteers (including the very sweet nurse who took such great care in making sure I could finish the walk).

For this challenge, I was wondering what ornament to put at the top right hand side and came across my Designer Label Punch Box from SU's 2006-07 catalogue. I saw the three little Stampin Spots in there which are Bordering Blue, More Mustard & Old Olive. So that was my inspiration for this card.

Celine, a lovely girl I have been going to for reflexology sessions has just moved into a new locale all of her own which she worked so hard to put together. So as a little token for her, I made her this little candle and matchbox set which is in the colors she chose for her salon. She is an amazing and giving person and I count the hours until my next appointments. Merci Celine pour ton amitie.

Since my walls in my workshop were screaming for a little something, I used SU's Decor Elements to fill in some of the bareness. Can I tell you how much fun these are! As my daughter says, they are just like the rub ons, but for walls. Wow these are great and the effect is in my opinion beautiful. The only problem is you just want to add more, more, more! But as my pocket book always says, sometimes less is more. But I think I will add the Kraft color as well.
And then to add a little something extra, I made these little frames that I found and the Dollarama and put Au Chocolat Paper which I was hoarding, with Chocolate Chip Paper in the centre and just plain old SU chipboard, no color and voila! HOME!

I had so much fun making these sweet little cards (3"x3") with the new SU Dreams du Jour stamp set and the Bella Rose DP. I colored in the butterflies and flowers with those great SU markers that I discovered sooooo late in life and now can't live without.
This will be one of my projects in my stamp club.

...Or should I say "Thank Heavens for Ikea"
Over the summer, I have put together a little workshop for myself where I could do a little arts & crafts with my friends and especially with my daughter. Just another way of saying that I basically took over her play area and made it my own.
Slowly but surely it came together. The final touches will be SU's home decor wall stencils. Now if I can only keep it neat and tidy...

Here is my card for Kristina's color challenge this week.
I combined it with another challenge which is a sketch challenge that I came across yesterday. It's the "Our Creative Corner" blog which you can find here: http://ourcreativecorner6.blogspot.com/2008/08/occ-sketch-challenge.html

For the launch of the new SU catalogue, I am planning a couple of open houses and since I am not a 'scrapbooker' per say, I asked my very nice, very efficient, very creative neighbor if she wouldn't mind putting a couple of pages together for me so I can show my friends how far SU supplies go. She took a couple of days and this is what she came up with. Aren't they great! She used I would say 90% of SU products and I think these are just awesome! She is very talented, wouldn't you say so? Not to mention that she has a beautiful family. Thank you Caroline!

Have a meeting with my fellow SU friends at Catherine's house tonight. Just love these paper roses which I got from Julie's Paper Pleasing Ideas. Check out her blog: http://paperpleasing.typepad.com/my_weblog/ She gives a tutorial on these. She is awesome.
These are soooooooooooo simple and I love the effect.
