Tree-Trimmings

Here is one of the cards I made for my little gathering on Friday night. This is one stamp set that pretty much requires the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the string with the ornament properly. I used WW, Old Olive and a bit of the new specialty designer series paper Christmas Cocoa Specialty. You can't tell from the picture but the little bit of the DP is actually textured in a felt like feel. Very pretty. Also used Dazzling Diamonds on the ornaments.

Simple Flower Christmas Card

The colors of this card make it feel Christmasy.
Easy when you have SU's sizzlits dies that I actually use with my CB. No stamping involved except with a Christmas sentiment inside the card.

Dasher!

Another great little stamp that you have to have.
Used it with Soft Suede with some of the new Merry Moments DP.
Some other CS used is Real Red, Kraft and VV. The ribbon is from last year's Christmas Mini (I think). On the antlers I used Dazzling Diamonds here and there with the two-way glue.

Medallion!

One word - one stamp. This is an amazing stamp. You will not regret having this one. For this card I used Chocolate Chip CS, Crushed Curry (another favorite) and VV. Ink is Soft Suede and the Curly Label Punch that I just got. Also used a Build a Brad just to add a little zing as well as the mat pack all around the image.

Mojo Monday #108

Here is my entry for this week's challenge.
Used A Walk in the Park Paper with Basic Grey
and used markers for the stamped image.
Also used my new Modern Label Punch which
you have to have if you have the wonderword punch.

Designed by Joyce

Upon my MIL's visit this week-end to celebrate Thanksgiving, she had the brilliant idea of putting together these two stamp sets to make this beautiful card. Pretty good for a first time stamper right? So here is her creation.

12 years on our road together...

Yesterday to celebrate our 12th year anniversary, we ventured out to Dunham, Quebec in the Eastern Townships to visit some of the wineries out there. What a georgeous and pleasant surprise to find such beautiful landscape! It was somewhat of a foggy day but as soon as we finished our first tasting, the sun came out. It was an unbelievable day. Thanks for lunch Gord. By the way the wine is quite good. A real pleasant surprise all the way around.

Mojo Monday #106

Wow - it's been a while. The weeks are just flying by.
But I settled in last night and made this card for Mojo Monday
and like how it turned out. I wasn't too sure about the colors but night time stamping is not the best time for me. I haven't used this stamp set hardly at all, but as usual now it may be one of my fav's. Hope you like it.

Card with Sherrybee's Flower

Here is a simple little card that I made using SU's rub-ons and a flower beautifully crocheted by Sherrybee from Arizona. I found her flowers on her Etsy gallery and just had to have them.
You can find her blog hereThanks Sherrybee!

Leaves: They are a Changin'

I've been wanting to use SU's Trendy Trees for a while but couldn't come up with any great ideas. So simple is usually the way to go.
I'm so used to doing challenges, that sometimes the creative juices take time to flow. So here is my little creation with what is yet to come around our parts of Quebec, the changing of the trees.

SPGSC28

Here is my entry for Kerin Sylvester's Stamps, Paper, Glitter! weekly challenge (last one for a while, she is taking a challenge break). I used the Happy from one of the first stamp sets I ever bought, Polka Dots & Paisley and some of the new in-colors 2009.

Grade 5 - First Day!

Here it is! Grade 5! Very excited to be part of madame Ann-France's Grade 5/6 group. A little teacher appreciation gift I put together: a little post-it note pouch, paper clip jar, pencil holder and not in the picture, a little coaster.

Razzle Dazzle Stamp Club

Here are a couple of projects for my Mother Daughter Stamp Club tomorrow night. Thought I would use the heck out of Razzle Dazzle because it is as versatile as Baroque Motifs.

It is super easy, just go to splitcoast and get the tutorial.
It's fun to see how everyone comes up with such different ideas.

August at Ausable Chasm

Here is a wonderful shot that was taken by Jade that demonstrates the beauty of that area. It was a beautiful morning on our way to Lake George, NY for a couple days of screamin' fun at the Great Escape.

Mini Pizza Box & Note Cards

I felt like doing a little kit yesterday, just simple matching cards with a matching little pizza box. I got the pattern for the box which I made in less than 10 minutes, from instructions I have had for a while by Jen del Muro. It is simply a 6"x11" piece of cardstock scored at 1" on either side of the 6" and 1, 5, 6 & 10" on the 11" side, and snipped on the edges. Super easy.
The note cards measure 3 1/2" x 7 1/2".

Used the Oval stamp set with Oval scallop punch, and on the VV cardstock, I used the very cute and colorful Razzle Dazzle Lemonade DP. The ribbon is the new in-color Crushed Curry.

SPGSC25

My card for Kerin's challenge that you can find here. Her prize for this week is one yard each of the new In-color polka dot ribbon!

I used SU's Give Thanks stamp set for this challenge and watercolored on SU's WC paper. Not too keen on the inside of the card however, but some of the earlier stamp sets were difficult to cut and so often times I get that rubber mark and have to correct my error in the best way I can.

Oh and that big ol' button is from the Dollar Store from at least 3 years back!

Mojo Monday #98

Here is a card for this week's challenge. This is a pretty color combo, easy on the eyes. I used SU's Happy Harmony SS with markers and my MIL stamped the image. The DP is Bella Bleu.

SPGSC24

A fun little card using Ellzybell stamp. This was a fun challenge because of all the layering and again I used SU's watercolor paper which has changed the way I want to stamp. You can check Kerin's blog here for more fun challenges and other great ideas. She also has a great Make-n-Take kit for sale, everything pre-cut - just add the stamping. Check her out!

SC239

Earlier this week I received a package of SU Watercolor Paper that I won from Kerin's blog Stamps, Paper, Glitter! that you can find here.
Well, can I just mention how great this paper is?! I had some watercolor paper amongst my supplies from either one of my kids' leftover art classes which I thought was acceptable quality. But after using the SU variety, you just can't compare. Trust me. So this is a card I made for Splitcoast Stampers' weekly sketch challenge using Echoes of Kindness stamp set and watercolors. Only problem now is that it seems I don't have enough stamp sets to watercolor!

Mojo Monday #97

Here is the card I made for this week's challenge.
Mixing the old with the new colors and a stamp set
that says so much...

SPGSC23

This was a real fun challenge this morning - I wasn't too sure about the color combo but when I put it all together I was quite pleased with the outcome. I pulled out some older in-color paper, like when was the last time you used Groovy Guava and Purely Pomegranate? You can find Kerin's blog here with her challenge. She also has a weekly prize for participating.

Here is my entry for this week's Mojo Challenge. I'm not too keen on the way this card is photographed, but I was a little too tired to re-take the shot.

Never Dreamed You'd Leave in Summer

I came across this stamp at Scrapbook Centrale last week and had to have it. It is a little melancholy as this song is which was sung by Stevie Wonder at Michael Jackson's funeral. I am posting it for someone that has passed away in November that was very dear to me at one time, but I only learned of his passing just a few days ago.
He was a very special person, enjoyed life and taught me alot. I think he would have liked this card.

Mojo Monday #94

Here is my entry for this week's challenge. I haven't done one of these in a while and must admit it is not one of my favorite cards, but I took so much time making it - you know when you spend too much time and then just get frustrated with it and just glue it altogether. Just sayin...
But still love this Razzle Dazzle stamp set and new DP.

Welcome Little Sophie!

Our neighbors just welcomed a wee little princess into the world.
She is absolutely beautiful! Just a bit over 7 lbs but feels light as a feather. Here is the card I made to for her. The swiss dots are from using the Cuttlebug. I got the tutorial from Lauren Meader's blog that you can find here

Purse-onally Perfect Notes by Becky Roberts

Here is a project I have been working on that I got from Becky Roberts blog which you can find here. I had so much fun making this and wanted to do something a little different than Becky. For the flowers, I chose to use my embosslit die 'Simple Flower' by SU. I actually use this with by Cuttlebug and it works just fine. Super fun to make - I can't wait for Becky's next tutorial. She is amazing.

Au Revoir monsieur Pierre

Yesterday we celebrated a wonderful Grade 4 teacher, monsieur Pierre, who is retiring after 32 years of teaching. We had a very nice celebration in his honor with the whole class and I think he was very touched. Here is a card I made for this occasion.
