A Flower for all Seasons Gift Set
Well, it was raining here on Saturday afternoon, or I think it was so off to my workshop I went. I just got this cute little stamp set and wanted to put it to good use right away. It's nothing fancy, just a fun little whimscal set that can go a long way.
I made this little set and will draw it at my next Mother/Daughter get together.

Mojo Monday #54
Well as you can probably tell, I am not a great photographer.
As vain as this will sound, this card is much prettier in 'person'.
I kid you not, I must take at least 7 shots of one card to get one acceptable one to post. So hopefully you all can still tell that I used the Bali Breeze paper with those fun build a brads which I am hoarding. And one of my favorite stamp sets is Happy Harmony which I used SU markers in a light green for the flower and darker green for the stem. If anyone out there has a good tip for picture taking, this may be a good time to leave me a comment.

This card consists of two challenges - one for a new color challenge blog I discovered that is super fun and lots of talented ladies participate which you can find here: http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/
The cards are unbelievable.
The other is a sketch challenge for the Card Positioning System #83 http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/

Our House is a very very very fine house
Just thought I would try to replicate our house with this stamp set,
beige house with burdundy shutters. With the exception of the cat,
I think I duplicated it quite well.

Sweet Smells of Fall!
What is it with this time of year to want to get back in the kitchen and cook something tasty and wholesome. I spent part of the morning yesterday making a batch of savoury spaghetti sauce (which I discovered doing in the Crock Pot makes it that much better). And with a basket full of ripe peaches on the counter, yes, you guessed it: Peach Crumb Pie. Oh yum! And the odors from my kitchen: PRICELESS!

Bonne Fete Maman
Yesterday was my Mother Aurora's birthday. She would have been 86 years old. I tried to use one of her favorite colors, purple.
The bird perched on the branch, so fragile, makes me think of her.
I love and miss you very much, Maman.

CPS #82
This was a fun challenge, love that Kiwi Kiss color. Pretty much goes with everything. And that Scallop Edge punch, gotta love it. And that bow, somebody stop me. I want to make it for every card! It's so easy and I think it gives it a nice sophisticated look.

More Mother Daughter Projects
Here are two other projects that my Mom & Daughter club did the other night. The pouch is super fun. The girls filled them with scallop punch and five petal punch samples of the new In-Color 2008 colors. This idea was presented to my Stampin' Up! group, the Glitter Sisters by a very talented member, Marie Savage and HER daughter. Marie and her daughter filled ours with yummy chocolate however.

Our first project
Here are all the cards the girls did tonight to get them back in the swing of things. They all loved the Bella Rose paper as much as I do. Aren't they talented?

My Cherished Mothers and Daughter Stamping Club
Tonight we had our first Mother Daughter stampers' club meeting following a long summer break. We always have such a nice time together and have grown very close in the last year. They LOVE all the projects I present and they are all talented in their own way. Missing from the picture is Donna and our bubbly little Shauna who will join us next month.

Thanksgiving Dinner is coming...
This year we are going to my MIL's house for Thanksgiving Dinner and thought she would enjoy having these on her table. She always sets such a beautiful table with the very best linens, dinnerware, crystal and the most stunning silverware. For the candle, I will line 8 of them up on the centre of the table to have a more dramatic effect. But who cares right? It's being thankful for being together (and not worrying about second helpings).

For this little card 'kit' with Kristina Werner's color inspiration in mind http://kwernerdesign.com/blog/ , I made this sweet little card box with matching little note cards that Kimberly Van Diepen was kind enough to forward to me when I saw it on her blog here: http://stampinbythesea.com/page/2.
Thank you Kimberly!

This one's for you Robin
I made this little birdhouse with my friend Robin in mind whom I lost touch with for over 10 years! So glad our paths have crossed once again.
I got the template and other instructions from Nichole Heady's blog "Capture the Moment". She is so talented and always has fun things on her blog. Everything she creates is perfect, so please check her blog.

My very first Vera Bradley Bag
Whilst in Lake Placid this week-end, we came across a beautiful store carrying loads of Vera Bradley bags and accessories. I love those bags. There are so many beautiful fabrics for Fall - I just didn't know which one to pick. So with my family's help, we picked the Frankly Scarlet one and it inspired me to have my very own private little color challenge. The stamps are from the Level 2 Hostess of the Fall/Winter 2007 catalogue "In the Spotlight".

Week-end in Lake Placid
What a treasure we have found just 2 hours from Monteal.
We quickly decided on a 'road trip' and it took us to Lake Placid, New York. We stayed at the lovely White Face Lodge http://www.thewhitefacelodge.com/. What a treat! Very rustic but tastefully done. You know like a chair made out of a dug out canoe, lamp bases made out of deer hooves, the smell of pine cones everywhere. We would definately return especially during the Christmas holidays. Thank you Gord for taking us there.
